my foray into Charli's expansive and electric catalogue, how i'm feeling now is a sharp, fast, and sometimes chaotic listen that immediately stood out. nothing here feels overthought, and that’s what makes it work. it’s raw in a way that feels intentional rather than sloppy.

the production leans hard into hyperpop’s glitchy, digital textures without losing its sense of melody. “claws” and “anthems” are noisy, catchy, and just abrasive enough to keep you on edge. the lyrics aren’t groundbreaking, but they’re delivered with a kind of sincerity that fits the tone. there’s a roughness to the album that feels more about capturing a moment than trying to make something timeless.

what i appreciate is how confident it is in being exactly what it is. it doesn’t try to be polished or universally appealing. as a starting point, it gave me a pretty solid sense of charli’s range and what she’s willing to experiment with. not every track hits, but the ones that do make it clear why people pay attention when she drops something.
